Pesticide Free

Pesticides are poisons and even residual amounts can have health implications. At Madgebari, we have a policy of using no chemical pesticides, fungicides or herbicides. We use only natural and organic means to control pests and diseases. Our produce is 'Farmer Certified' to be Chemical Pesticide Free. We haven't gone in for any external certification in view of the high cost involved for our rather small farm.

Lab Tested

Samples of our coffee and pepper have been tested at a NABL accredited laboratory. Samples could be made available for customer testing too.

High Grown

Gudalur is at an altitude of 1100 metres (3600 feet) above sea level which contributes a full bodied flavour with chocolaty tones to our coffee and a fiery zip to our pepper.

Single Estate Produce

All the produce is grown on a single estate enabling us to have complete control over processes. For example, we ensure that fully ripened coffee berries are hand picked to assure a full bodied flavour to the coffee.

Environment

Madgebari has no fences. It's a birdwatcher's paradise. Hornbills, Kingfishers, Woodpeckers and Sunbirds are easily spotted. Spotted deer, Wild boar and the occasional big cat pass through.
